Today we’re at Founders Day, held in the beautiful grounds of Stanford Hall—one of the UK’s biggest gatherings of vintage and classic motorcycles. What started nearly 50 years ago with around 100 visitors has grown into a huge event, featuring hundreds of rare motorcycles, almost 300 autojumble pitches and some machines you may never get the chance to see again! This year’s event celebrates 80 years of the Vintage Motor Cycle Club, with a special display of early flat-tank motorcycles. SuperBike Factory Has Gone... What's Next for the Motorcycle Industry? SuperBike Factory has entered administration, but is this really just one company's failure, or is it a sign of something much bigger? In this video, I take a closer look at what led to the collapse of Europe's largest used motorcycle retailer and ask whether it could have been avoided. While SuperBike Factory certainly had its critics, I also explore the wider economic pressures facing businesses across the UK. From rising interest rates and increasing operating costs to slowing consumer spending, the motorcycle industry is facing some of its biggest challenges in years. We'll also look at other manufacturers and companies that are under pressure, including KTM, Volkswagen and more, to see if this is the beginning of a much bigger problem. This isn't about pointing fingers or celebrating another business going under. It's about understanding what happened, what we can learn from it, and what the future could hold for motorcycle dealers, manufacturers and riders alike. Riding the brand-new BMW F 450 GS up the legendary Goodwood Hill Climb in front of thousands of spectators.
